Employees of Astana Medical University received regular incentive payment for publishing scientific articles in journals indexed in Web of Science and Scopus.

Since this year, all employees of the university, regardless of the size of the rate, the presence of a scientific degree, have the opportunity to receive incentive payments for the publication of articles in scientific journals with quartile Q1-Q4. Taking into account the quartile of the journal affiliated authors may receive payments ranging from 50 to 200 monthly calculation indices (from 159 thousand tenge to 636 thousand tenge), and for articles in journals included in the Big 5 medical journals (The New England Journal of Medicine, The Journal of the American Medical Association, British Medical Journal, Annals of Internal Medicine, Lancet), as well as for magazines Science and Nature to 1000 MCI (i.e. 3,180,000 tenge).

In total, this year, AMU affiliated authors received incentive payments for the publication of articles in the amount of more than 39.4 million tenge.

As part of the next incentive payment in November 2022, payments were made for 20 publications. At the same time, taking into account the number of published articles, individual employees received incentive payments of more than 1 million tenge.

According to the results of the analysis of the publication activity of the university staff as of the end of the third quarter of 2022, there is a positive trend in the growth of the number and quality of scientific articles, as evidenced by the increase in the percentage of publications with quartiles Q1-Q2.
