A solemn ceremony of awarding diplomas to graduates of Astana Medical University took place today at the State Opera and Ballet Theater "Astana Opera". More than a thousand Kazakhstani and foreign graduates have received their long-awaited diplomas.

"Today is a celebration not only of Astana Medical University and parents of students, it is a celebration of the entire system of higher education. The healthcare sector is being replenished with new young personnel who are able to implement their creative and modern approach in the name of the health of the nation. I am sure that the successful development of the university will continue to contribute to the growth of the country's human capital and will allow us to bring domestic healthcare to the world level in order to withstand all the challenges of our time," Vice Minister of Health Vyacheslav Dudnik read these welcoming words of the Minister of Health of the Republic of Kazakhstan Azhar Giniyat to the graduates of the medical school.

In turn, First Vice-Minister of Health T.Sultangaziev in his congratulatory address noted the active support of the President and the Government of the healthcare sector. "The active implementation of national programs in the field of healthcare has made it possible to significantly upgrade the infrastructure of the industry, re-equip outpatient and inpatient treatment and prevention facilities, initiate the informatization of healthcare, increase salaries for medical workers," he stressed in his speech.

"The graduation ceremony is an important event not only for the university, but also for the whole republic. Remember, a diploma is not a guarantee of success. You will have to take an exam every day in real life, prove that you are professionals in your field. Difficult tests of the profession are ahead, it is important to stand up and preserve the honor and whiteness of your robes," Chairman of the Board - Rector of the MUA Kamalzhan Nadyrov said in his speech.
