From June 24 to June 28, a summer school was held at the clinical base of the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology No. 2 of the NAO "MUA" GKP at the PHV "City Multidisciplinary Hospital No. 2" under the leadership of the head of the department S.S. Iskakov. The theme of the cycle: "Safe childbirth." The students worked in the maternity ward and in the operating unit. They mastered the practical skills of a doctor's assistant – they delivered babies in the first and second periods of labor, monitored the maternity hospital in the early postpartum period, consulted the patient and partners, took uncomplicated deliveries on their own, performed diagnostic and therapeutic procedures. We have mastered the active management of the third period of labor on our own. Assisted during the cesarean section operation. We got acquainted with the work of the maternity ward in terms of the preparation of the maternity ward, the algorithm for preparing the laying for childbirth. They acquired knowledge of emergency care for obstetric bleeding and shoulder dystocia in the second period of labor, the principles of breastfeeding, primary care for a newborn. In this course of the summer school, the students mastered the procedure for processing medical documentation, as well as the work on entering data into the software. In general, the skills acquired during the summer school help consolidate the knowledge gained during the training cycle "obstetrics and gynecology", consolidate practical skills in the workplace and work out communication skills in providing qualified medical care to pregnant women, women in labor and maternity, as well as newborns.
