Practical course of cardiopulmonary resuscitation

Practical course of cardiopulmonary resuscitation

From July 1 to 5, 2024, the Department of Anesthesiology and Intensive Care No. 1 conducted a practical course of cardiopulmonary resuscitation within the framework of the summer school.

In this course, the trainees learned the basics of cardiopulmonary resuscitation, including theoretical aspects and practical methods of performing cardiopulmonary resuscitation. They have consolidated and mastered the skills of resuscitation and the use of appropriate equipment.

They have acquired knowledge and skills in the emergency care of cardiac and respiratory arrest, including CPR and indirect cardiac massage techniques. Under instructor supervision, they also practiced resuscitation on mannequins and participated in simulated scenarios.

The course program also included topics on the correction of acid-base status (ABC). Students gained theoretical knowledge and observed the process of correcting ALS in the intensive care unit, learning how to perform tests and interpret results, and applied correction methods in practice.

In addition, the course included lectures and seminars on patient assessment, use of various medications, and equipment used in the ICU. Students actively participated in clinical case discussions, which allowed them to gain a deeper understanding of the processes and improve their decision-making skills in emergency situations.
