Astana Medical University has become one of the leaders of the National Ranking of Leading Medical Universities in 2024 (IQAA-Ranking) and the Ranking of Scientific Publications of Kazakhstan Universities in 2024 compiled by the Independent Agency for Quality Assurance in Education.
The AMU took 2nd place in the National Ranking of Leading Medical Universities in 2024 (IQAA-Ranking), and in the Ranking of scientific publications of Kazakhstani universities in 2024 it entered the TOP 10 among 86 universities in Kazakhstan, improving by 9 positions the result of 2023, and took 2nd place among medical universities.
IQAA-Ranking held the National Ranking of the Leading Universities of Kazakhstan 2024 for the sixteenth time.
For the sixteenth time, the Independent Agency for Quality Assurance in Education presented the results of the National Ranking of Leading Universities in Kazakhstan-2024 (IQAA-Ranking), recommended by the international IREG Observatory for academic rating and excellence. Academic data were partially provided by the universities themselves, and were also provided by the agency from independent sources such as the Committee for Quality Assurance in the Field of Science and Higher Education of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Kazakhstan, CIP Bolashak, bibliographic databases of scientific publications Scopus, Web of Science, RSCI, the digital database of the EHEA and the state register of the National Institute of Intellectual Property of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
Traditionally, a survey was conducted among employers, experts from the academic community, students and graduates of universities. The survey involved 962 employers' organizations, 267 experts, 19,270 students and 3,941 graduates.
The methodology for calculating the Ranking of Scientific Publications is based on data on the number of publications and their relevance for the previous year from three bibliographic and abstract databases of peer-reviewed scientific literature - Scopus, Web of Science (Clarivate - CIS) and the Russian Science Citation Index (eLIBRARY).
