As part of the implementation of the WHO global plan on epilepsy and other neurological diseases for the next ten years, the National Center for Children's Rehabilitation and Astana Medical University, with the support of the Ministry of Healthcare of the Republic of Kazakhstan, are holding several large-scale events in the fields of neurology, rehabilitation, and health resort treatment from September 25 to 28, 2024:

·         International Conference "Multidisciplinary Approach in the Diagnosis, Treatment, and Rehabilitation of Neurological Diseases" and exhibition of medical equipment, devices, and medicines on September 25–26, 2024, Astana, Korgalzhyn Highway 13/5, building of the National Center for Biotechnology.

·         Practical master classes with foreign experts on September 27, 2024, Astana, Turan Avenue 36, building of the National Center for Children's Rehabilitation.

·         IX International Scientific and Practical Forum "Shipazhai-2024" incl. exhibition on September 28, 2024, Merke district, Zhambyl region, at the "Merke" sanatorium.

The event is the main event of the rehabilitation service of the Republic of Kazakhstan, dedicated to the 60th anniversary of Astana Medical University and will be held with the support of the Minister of Health of the Republic of Kazakhstan. Participants: members of the Parliament of the Republic of Kazakhstan, representatives of WHO, the city administration, leading freelance doctors in the specified profile areas, and other honored guests from private and public organizations, domestic and foreign experts. The event will gather more than 400 participants and will have wide coverage in the media including social media.

Key issues of the conference:

·         Prevention: screening for neurological diseases;

·         Early diagnosis and intervention to prevent severe disability;

·         The vector of development of the healthcare system in managing the rehabilitation service. Innovative methods of treatment and rehabilitation;
