Astana Medical University continues to strengthen its position as one of the leading universities in the country. The National Chamber of Entrepreneurs "Atameken" published the results of the ranking of educational programs of higher education institutions for 2025.
This ranking has been published since 2019 and helps students and employers navigate the choice of the best educational programs.
The latest ranking presents the results of the analysis of 2051 bachelor's degree programs of 95 universities in Kazakhstan. The ranking takes into account four key criteria:
• Career prospects of graduates (employment rate and demand in the labor market);
• Quality of educational programs (relevance and compliance of the content with employers' requests);
• Student achievements (successes of students in science, sports, creativity);
• General indicators of universities (infrastructure, access to educational resources).
Independent experts are involved to ensure the objectivity of the analysis.
Thus, among medical universities, the results of Astana Medical University deserve special attention, having once again proven its high level of training specialists: almost all educational programs of the educational institution were among the best according to the results of the rating, which assessed the performance of universities for the last academic year.
University achievements:
• 1st place in the educational program "Pharmacy" (in 2024 - 6th place).
• 2nd place in the educational program "General Medicine" (in 2024 - 8th place).
• 2nd place in the educational program "Public Health" (in 2024 - 5th place).
• 3rd place in the educational program "Nursing" (in 2023 - 7th place).
• 4th place in the educational program "Stomatology" (maintained the position of last year).
The achieved results are primarily due to the high level of demand for the university's educational programs. Thus, our university is among the TOP 3 universities in Kazakhstan in terms of the number of applicants with high UNT scores. In addition, graduate employment rates also remain at a high level: 99.3% of graduates of Astana Medical University are successfully employed.
These results reflect significant progress compared to previous years and confirm the effectiveness of the university's strategy aimed at improving the quality of education and its compliance with the needs of the labor market.
In addition, the university's high rating is confirmed not only by national but also by international rankings. In October 2024, Astana Medical University became the first among medical universities in Kazakhstan to receive four stars out of five in the international QS Stars ranking. The ranking evaluates universities on many parameters, including the quality of teaching, employment, research, internationalization and infrastructure. To date, it includes only 22 Kazakhstani universities.
• In the National Ranking of Leading Medical Universities in 2024 (IQAA-Ranking), the university took 2nd place, confirming its reputation as one of the best medical educational institutions in the country.
• In the ranking of scientific publications of Kazakhstan universities in 2024, Astana Medical University entered the TOP-10 among 86 universities, moving up 9 positions compared to the results of 2023, and took 2nd place among medical universities.
