A meeting between the leadership of the university and the Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador of the Kingdom of the Netherlands, Nico Schermer, took place at the Astana Medical University university.

Nico Schermer and the Acting Chairman of the Board – Rector Anar Turmukhambetova emphasized the importance of educational and scientific exchanges between the universities of the two countries:

“We are interested in expanding international academic cooperation, which will allow our students and faculty to participate in academic mobility programs, exchange experiences, and gain access to cutting-edge global practices. Interaction with Dutch universities and research centers opens up new opportunities for joint research, attracting leading specialists as visiting professors, and implementing educational programs that meet global standards,” - noted Acting Chairman of the Board – Rector Anar Turmukhambetova.

The official part of the visit concluded with a lecture by Ambassador Nico Schermer, who addressed students on the cooperation between Kazakhstan and the Netherlands in economic, educational, and political spheres. He spoke about the history, economic development, and prospects of his country, as well as highlighted key areas of cooperation with Kazakhstan, especially in the fields of agriculture and economics.
