A delegation from the Tyumen Region (Russia) visited Astana Medical University. The delegation included: Denis Neustroev, General Director of the Autonomous Nonprofit Organization "Innovation Agency"; Marina Shmaruk, Head of the Technological Development Department of the Investment Policy and State Entrepreneurship Support Department of the Tyumen Region; Ivan Petrov, Rector of Tyumen State Medical University of the Ministry of Health of the Russian Federation; and Galina Yevtina, Director of the Strategic Development Directorate of the same university.

Vitaly Koikov, Vice-Rector of Astana Medical University, highlighted that the cooperation with Tyumen State Medical University has been ongoing since 2011 and continues to strengthen:

“We have been working with our colleagues from Tyumen for a long time and are ready to further expand our cooperation. It is important not only to support academic mobility of students and faculty but also to collaborate on scientific research and educational projects.”

Ivan Petrov, Rector of Tyumen State Medical University, confirmed the interest in further partnership, emphasizing the importance of international experience exchange.

During the visit, the sides discussed the prospects for joint research activities, the implementation of international grants, and the transfer of medical technologies. The delegation also visited the Simulation Center, the Research Institute of Radiobiology and Radiation Protection, and familiarized themselves with the university's capabilities in training medical personnel and modern scientific developments.

The meeting was another step in the development of international cooperation aimed at improving medical education, science, and innovation.
