Astana Medical University will introduce training programs on the fundamentals of mandatory social health insurance (OSMS) and patient rights. A cooperation agreement on this initiative has been signed between NJSC "Social health insurance fund" and NJSC "Astana Medical University."
The document aims to provide AMU students with knowledge about the functioning of the OSMS system, educate them on patient rights within OSMS, and foster civic responsibility.
"The signing of this memorandum is an important step in the development of our OSMS Academy project, opening new opportunities for training qualified specialists and implementing advanced practices in the field of mandatory social health insurance", – stated Indira Sarkenova, Deputy Chair of the Fund’s Board.
She also emphasized that the Fund continues to expand its collaboration with higher education institutions and training centers, creating conditions for improving the OSMS system and enhancing the training level of future specialists.
In turn, Rector of Astana Medical University, Anar Turmukhambetova, highlighted that this agreement is a crucial stage in integrating OSMS into the educational process.
"Teaching students the key aspects of OSMS will not only enhance their professional competence but also instill a responsible approach to health insurance issues. We are confident that this project will make a significant contribution to the training of future doctors and consultants in the healthcare sector", - concluded Anar Turmukhambetova.
It is worth noting that the goal of the OSMS Academy is to improve the level of knowledge and competencies of professionals working in the healthcare system, ensuring access to medical services through the mechanism of mandatory social health insurance.
