A French delegation, led by Professor Michel, an expert in public health, and Alexandra, a representative of the French Embassy in Kazakhstan, visited Astana Medical University on a working visit.

The meeting discussed the prospects for joint master’s programs, academic exchanges, internships, and professional retraining. Special attention was given to areas related to public health, sanitary inspection, management of medical and social institutions, and the preparation of medical managers.

The French side presented the educational opportunities of the EHESP School of Public Health, emphasizing the high demand for specialists with knowledge in hospital management, epidemiology, biostatistics, and digital health solutions.

The representative of the French Embassy spoke about available scholarship programs, including Erasmus+, TAIEX, Abai-Vern, and Bolashak. Most of the programs are conducted in English, but knowledge of French may provide an additional advantage.

Particular attention was paid to the international initiative One Health, related to water safety and sanitation issues. The French delegation invited the university to consider participating in joint projects, including partnerships with the University of Saint-Étienne.

Both sides expressed their willingness to continue the dialogue and begin working on specific areas of cooperation.
