A meeting with representatives of the Turkish Transplantation Foundation was held at Astana Medical University. The visit focused on discussions regarding collaboration in personnel training, the development of professional competencies, and the implementation of new technologies in the field of transplantology.
The delegation was headed by Kahveci Eyüp, chairman of the board of the Turkish Transplant Foundation, and Gamze Yildirim, foundation coordinator.
The Kazakh side was represented by Aidar Sitkazinov, Director of the Republican center for coordination of transplantation and high-tech medical services, as well as Astana Medical University vice-rectors Vitaliy Koikov and Meruert Gazalieva.
The parties discussed opportunities for experience exchange, the implementation of joint educational programs, and the training of specialists in the field of transplantology. Special attention was paid to the training of not only physicians but also mid-level medical personnel, as well as the formation of multidisciplinary teams capable of delivering high-level medical care.
“Our efforts in transplantology are focused on expanding the possibilities of organ transplantation from living donors. This requires ongoing staff training, standard enhancement, and close cooperation between medical and educational institutions. We are confident that cooperation with our Kazakh partners will open up new prospects in this field”, - noted Kahveci Eyüp, Chairman of the Board of the Turkish Transplantation Foundation.
In turn, Astana Medical University vice-rector Vitaliy Koikov emphasized the importance of international partnerships in the development of high-tech medical care:
“The exchange of knowledge and joint development of educational programs will enable us to train specialists who meet international standards. We are committed to a practice-oriented approach to education and are pleased to collaborate with our Turkish colleagues”.
Following the visit, the parties agreed to continue the dialogue and begin the development of joint training and professional development programs for specialists in the field of transplantology.
