Three Days of Discussion, Science, and Knowledge Exchange

From April 17 to 19, 2025, the XII Congress "Innovative Technologies in Respiratory Medicine" and the III Republican Forum "Cystic Fibrosis: Present and Future" were held in Astana. The event was organized by Astana Medical University in collaboration with the "Association of Respiratory Medicine Specialists" with the support of the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

The event brought together doctors, researchers, faculty members, students, and young professionals from across Kazakhstan and abroad. Participants discussed the most relevant topics — from asthma and infectious disease management to rare pulmonary disorders and new diagnostic methods.

The Congress was held in a hybrid format, combining both offline and online participation. Over the course of three days, attendees took part in lectures, symposia, masterclasses, and a competition for young scientists.

Opening the Congress, Vice-Rector of Astana Medical University Vitaliy Koikov stated:

"This conference — this congress — has now been held for the twelfth time and serves as a platform to discuss current achievements and innovations in the field of respiratory medicine".

The Congress became a landmark event for the professional community, reaffirming that the advancement of respiratory medicine is impossible without continuous knowledge updates, international collaboration, and the active engagement of the new generation of specialists.
