Two graduates of the doctoral program at NJSC “Astana Medical University” have successfully confirmed their qualifications and were awarded the degree of Doctor of Philosophy (PhD). The long-awaited diplomas were presented to them by Rector Anar Turmukhambetova during the University Academic Council meeting.

Under the educational program “Nursing Science,” university doctoral student Alexandra Masharipova received her PhD. She is the first person in the country to be awarded a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) degree in this field.

Her academic advisors were Nasikhat Nurgaliyeva, PhD, Associate Professor of the Department of General Medical Practice with a Course in Evidence-Based Medicine, and Gulmira Derbisalina, Candidate of Medical Sciences, Associate Professor, Head of the same department.

Another recipient of the diploma was graduate of the “Medicine” program, Bekzat Baiterek. During his studies and dissertation preparation, he was supervised by academic advisor Alibek Mustafin, Doctor of Medical Sciences, Professor, and Head of the Department of Anesthesiology and Intensive Care.
