The XI Eurasian radiological congress of the Radiological society of Kazakhstan held in Astana

From June 26 to 28, 2025, the capital of Kazakhstan hosted a major event in the medical field – the XI Eurasian Radiological Congress. The event was organized by the Radiological Society of Kazakhstan, the Zh. Khamzabayev Research Institute of Radiology, and Astana Medical University.

The forum became the largest scientific platform in the region, bringing together more than 1,500 participants from 40 countries, including leading radiologists, oncologists, representatives of international organizations (IAEA, ESR, AOSR), and global medical communities.

The Radiological Society of Kazakhstan and the Research Institute of Radiology acted not only as organizers but also as content leaders of the forum, hosting over 30 sections, master classes, and strategic panels.

Key topics of the forum included:
▪ Diagnosis of oncological and cardiovascular diseases
▪ Artificial intelligence and big data in radiology
▪ Nuclear medicine: opportunities for Central Asia
▪ Next-generation radiology education

According to Vice President of the Radiological Society of Kazakhstan, Professor, PhD, DMSc Tairkhan Dautov, the congress yielded significant outcomes and achievements, including:

·         Signing of cooperation agreements with institutions from South Korea, Turkey, India, Russia, Germany, Uzbekistan, and others

·         Strengthening ties with international organizations in nuclear safety and education

·         Establishing a roadmap for the development of teleradiology, educational programs, and research infrastructure in Kazakhstan

“For the Radiological Society of Kazakhstan and the Zh. Khamzabayev Research Institute of Radiology, organizing the forum was a confirmation of Kazakhstan’s leadership in shaping a unified radiological space in Eurasia. We are proud to have created an open platform for sharing knowledge, innovations, and future strategies,” – noted Tairkhan Dautov.
