The Department of Histology and Cytology at Astana Medical University held its subject Olympiad, "Theoretical Knowledge and Practical Skills in Histology," bringing together second-year students from the “Medicine” and “Pediatrics” schools.
The Olympiad, which has been held at the department since 2015, traditionally attracts an increasing number of participants, as student interest in the competition grows year after year. This year, 77 students applied, demonstrating a high level of preparation and a commitment to in-depth study of the subject.
The main goal of the event is not only to identify the best students but also to stimulate students' cognitive activity, develop their practical skills, and foster a creative approach to mastering their future profession.
The students' work was evaluated by a competent jury consisting of professors and associate professors from the department.
Following the qualifying rounds, 21 participants advanced to the finals. And 11 students were awarded diplomas, and another 10 received certificates, setting worthy examples for their groupmates.
The Olympiad once again proved that an interest in science, hard work, and a commitment to professional growth are essential components of success for future doctors.
