Astana Medical University establishes partnerships with Medical Universities and a Hospital in the Islamic Republic of Pakistan
Following the official meetings and negotiations, Astana Medical University signed Memorandum of Understanding with two leading medical universities of theIslamic Republic of Pakistan, University of Health Sciences Lahore and King Edward Medical University in Lahore. The memorandums provide for the development of joint educational programmes, academic mobility of students and faculty members, joint research activities, and cooperation in the field of clinical training.
On 4 February 2026, within the framework of the Kazakhstan–Pakistan Business Forum, Astana Medical University and Maroof International Hospital (Islamabad) signed a Memorandum of Intent to establish the Kazakhstan–Pakistan College of Nursing.
This initiative marks an important step toward strengthening bilateral cooperation in healthcare education and reflects the shared commitment of both institutions to advancing nursing training, enhancing clinical competencies, and promoting international academic collaboration.
The establishment of partnerships with Pakistani educational and clinical organizations demonstrates the commitment of the Republic of Kazakhstan to the development of international academic cooperation and contributes to the enhancement of bilateral relations in the scientific, and educational domains.
Astana Medical University views the signed Memorandums of Understanding as a basis for long term cooperation, sustained academic exchange, and the implementation of joint educational and research initiatives.
