NCJSC “Astana Medical University” invites faculty members, Master’s and PhD students to participate in an intensive workshop held within the framework of the “Visiting Professor” program under the guidance of Prof. Dr. Amin Tamadon, Full Professor of Biological Sciences.
The workshop is aimed at developing scientific writing skills and preparing participants for publication in international peer-reviewed journals. During the sessions, participants will gain key competencies in academic writing, literature search and analysis, as well as principles of preparing a narrative review.

• Journal selection (Scopus, Web of Science, Q1–Q4 quartiles)
• Ethical issues (plagiarism, authorship, use of AI)
• Practice: selecting a research topic
Day 2 (14.04) – Session 2: Literature Search and Reference Management
• Databases: PubMed, Scopus, Web of Science
• Search strategies (Boolean operators)
• Use of EndNote / Zotero / Mendeley
• Practice: developing a search strategy
Day 3 (15.04) – Session 3: Structure of a Scientific Article
• Title, abstract, keywords
• Writing the introduction (gap-based approach)
• Practice: drafting the introduction
Day 4 (16.04) – Session 4: Narrative Review Methodology
• When it is used
• Structuring arguments
• Critical synthesis vs descriptive approach
