Cooperation between the universities continues to develop steadily. In 2025, a urology training center was established at the Simulation Center in partnership with Guangzhou Medical University. The center is aimed at introducing modern diagnostic and treatment methods, as well as facilitating the exchange of clinical experience among specialists.

During the current visit, the parties discussed further prospects for cooperation, including the development of academic mobility, joint scientific research, and the expansion of clinical collaboration.

To explore advanced practices, the delegation visited Guangzhou Kingmed Diagnostics, as well as the First Affiliated Hospital of Guangzhou Medical University.

The ceremonial outcome of the visit was the awarding of honorary academic titles to representatives of Astana Medical University. The title of Overseas Honorary Professor of Guangzhou Medical University was conferred upon Chairperson of the Board – Rector Anar Turmukhambetova, while the Visiting Professor certificate was awarded to Ulanbek Zhanbyrbekuly, Head of the Department of Urology and Andrology.

In the near future, a visit of students and representatives from Guangzhou Medical University is expected, marking a new stage in strengthening international cooperation and academic exchange between the two universities.
