On May 21, 2026, the Educational and Methodological Association of the Republican Educational and Methodological Council in the direction of training - Healthcare, together with the State Unitary Enterprise of Pharmaceutical Education Programs, held a round table on the topic: «The role of interdisciplinary training in pharmacy for sustainable health development» on the basis of the Kazakh National Medical University named after S.D. Asfendiyarov.
The round table was included in the sectional meeting of the International Scientific and Practical Conference «Digital Technologies in Pharmacy: Integration of Education, Science and Production, dedicated to the 75th anniversary of the School of Pharmacy» of the International Forum «ANaMed Forum - New Generation 2026».
Purpose of the round table: To discuss the key problems and prospects of interdisciplinary training of personnel in pharmacy in order to improve the quality of medical education, improve the professional competencies of specialists and the compliance of educational programs for the sustainable development of health care.

Asfendiyarov, Research Institute of Cardiology and Internal Medicine, National Center for Pediatrics and Pediatric Surgery, National Scientific Center for Phthisiopulmonology, National Center for Expertise of Medicines and Medical Devices.

Representatives of pharmaceutical disciplines Astana Medical University, KazMNU named after S.D. Asfendiyarov, Almaty Technological University, South Kazakhstan Medical Academy, Kazakhstan-Russian Medical University shared their vision of solving topical issues of personnel training.
The round table has become a platform for the exchange of advanced ideas, experience and best practices, as well as the strengthening of interdisciplinary cooperation on topical issues of medical and pharmaceutical areas. The roundtable participants noted that the modern labor market requires updating educational programs taking into account international standards, the needs of employers and the development of innovative areas of pharmaceutical science. Confidence was expressed that the implementation of the results of the discussion of the Round Table will contribute to the training of competitive new generation specialists, improving the quality of pharmaceutical education, developing science and achieving the goals of sustainable development of the healthcare system of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
