Astana Medical University Student Completes Clinical Practice in South Korea

Adina Ali, a fifth-year student at the School of Pediatrics of Astana Medical University, completed a clinical internship at Korea University Anam Hospital in Seoul, Republic of Korea, as part of an academic mobility program.

The clinical placement took place from August 3 to 29, 2026, providing the student with an opportunity to strengthen her professional knowledge and gain practical experience in an international healthcare environment. During the clinical placement, Adina became familiar with the hospital’s workflow, observed physicians’ clinical practice, explored approaches to patient assessment and treatment, and studied the analysis of clinical cases.

Participation in the academic mobility program allowed the student not only to improve her practical skills but also to gain insight into the South Korean healthcare system, modern approaches to patient care, and international medical practices.

“Completing my clinical practice in South Korea was a valuable professional experience for me. It allowed me to explore new approaches to healthcare delivery, apply my knowledge in a clinical setting, and broaden my professional perspective. This experience has given me strong motivation for my future development in medicine,” said Adina Ali.

Astana Medical University continues to support students’ participation in international educational and professional programs that contribute to the development of practical competencies and provide valuable international experience for future healthcare professionals.
