On September 4–5, 2026, Astana hosted the IX Congress of the Public Association «Kazakh Society of Anesthesiologists and Resuscitators» with international participation, one of the largest specialized events in the fields of anesthesiology, resuscitation and intensive care in Kazakhstan and Central Asia.

The Congress brought together more than 1,000 specialists from Kazakhstan and other Central Asian countries, as well as leading scientists and practicing physicians from Europe, the Middle East and China. The scientific programme included the IX Kazakhstan–Israel Symposium, a session of the World Federation of Societies of Anaesthesiologists (WFSA), thematic sessions on pediatrics and neonatology, as well as master classes.

As part of the Congress, Asem Bekniyazova, anesthesiologist-resuscitator, Assistant at the Department of Anesthesiology, Intensive Care and Emergency Medicine of Astana Medical University, and postdoctoral researcher, delivered a scientific presentation. She presented interim results of the «Zhas Galym» research project, focused on respiratory failure in geriatric patients in traumatology and orthopedics and the use of vibroacoustic therapy.

Participation in the international professional forum provided an opportunity to discuss the scientific and practical aspects of the method with leading specialists and to expand opportunities for further professional and research cooperation.

Participation in the IX Congress confirms the relevance of the research conducted within the «Zhas Galym» programme, a project of the Ministry of Science and Higher Education of the Republic of Kazakhstan, and its focus on developing modern, safe and accessible approaches to improving respiratory care for patients.
