Dear 2nd–3rd Year Residents,

As part of the Academic Mobility Program for the 2026–2027 academic year, a competition is being announced for residents to participate in a clinical observership/training program at Hôpital Fondation Adolphe de Rothschild in Paris, France.

FIELDS AND NUMBER OF AVAILABLE PLACES

1. Ophthalmology — 1 place;
2. Otorhinolaryngology (ENT) — 1 place;
3. Neurosurgery (Adult and Pediatric) — 2 places.

Total — 4 places.

Training period: 1 week in April 2027.

The exact dates will be announced additionally.

FUNDING

Partial financial support is provided:

• round-trip airfare — covered by the University, up to 170 MCI;
• training fee — EUR 500 for 1 week; accommodation, meals, and visa fees — covered by the participants themselves.

ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS

1. No outstanding academic debts.
2. No disciplinary sanctions.
3. GPA of at least 3.2.
4. For applicants participating in the competition for the second time, GPA of at least 3.6.
5. Prize-winning places in international and national academic Olympiads and conferences are considered an advantage.
6. English language proficiency at B2 level or higher:
• a valid IELTS certificate with a score of at least 6.5, or
• a B2-level certificate issued by an educational institution or language school.

REQUIRED DOCUMENTS

1. Application form for participation in the competition, signed by Gulnur Momynovna Akpolatova, Head of the Residency and Clinical Work Department (application form attached below).
2. CV / Resume with a photograph.
3. Motivation Letter, signed by the applicant.
4. Recommendation Letter from a faculty member, signed by the recommender.
5. Two 3×4 cm photographs.
6. Copy of the passport identification page.
7. Copies of transcripts (diploma supplements) for Bachelor’s degree, internship, and residency.
8. A valid IELTS certificate with a score of at least 6.5 or a B2-level certificate issued by an educational institution or language school.
9. Copies of diplomas, certificates, and other documents confirming 1st, 2nd, or 3rd place in national and/or international Olympiads, competitions, contests, and other events in medical specialties (if applicable).

IMPORTANT

• All documents must be submitted in English.
• Only citizens of the Republic of Kazakhstan are eligible to participate in the competition.
