Sharmanov National Medical University held a ceremony to mark Republic Day.
Professor Bibizhamal Omarova of the Department of Social Sciences and Humanities delivered a presentation on Kazakhstan’s achievements over 35 years of independence.
The staff awards ceremony was the central part of the event.
Professor Aigul Ismailova of the Centre for Epidemiology and Management received the Ministry of Healthcare of the Republic of Kazakhstan’s “Еңбек ардагері” (Veteran of Labour) badge. Riza Nurpeisova, Associate Professor of the Department of Family Medicine No. 2, was awarded the “Денсаулық сақтау ісінің үздігі” (Excellence in Healthcare) badge.
The “Денсаулық сақтау ісіне қосқан үлесі үшін” (For Contribution to Healthcare) badge was awarded to Kasym Zhakypbayev, Associate Professor of the Department of Oncology; Bakyt Igenbayeva, Senior Lecturer of the Department of General and Biological Chemistry; and Gulnur Akpolatova, Head of the Residency and Clinical Affairs Division.
Certificates of Honour from the Ministry of Healthcare were presented to Marzhankul Aubakirova, Chief Specialist of the Department of Academic Affairs, and Ulbosyn Saltabayeva, Head of the Department of Nursing. Gulfariza Abzhanova, Saltanat Kasenova, Saltanat Shaikenova and Zarina Khatchukayeva received Letters of Appreciation from the Ministry.
A further 27 staff members received the Rector’s Certificates of Honour, while 34 received Letters of Appreciation for their dedicated service, professional achievements and contribution to medical education. The recipients included faculty members, researchers, and staff from administrative departments, the library and university support services.
