Students fr om T. Sharmanov National Medical University took second place among English-speaking teams at the International Student Olympiad in Pharmacology, held in Tomsk.

The Olympiad consisted of two stages. In the first stage, participants solved case-based problems and submitted their answers through the Olympiad website. The second stage was held in person, with teams working on practical cases using educational and laboratory equipment.

The Olympiad gave students an opportunity to test their knowledge, apply it to practical challenges and meet future colleagues from other universities.

During the trip, participants were particularly moved by the monument to Kanysh Satpayev, the distinguished Kazakh scientist, geologist and academician. He studied in Tomsk, wh ere he received an education that laid the foundation for his future scientific career.
