The APHRS 2026 international congress took place in Busan, South Korea, on 21–24 October, bringing together more than 4,500 participants from 61 countries.

A major milestone in 2026 was the admission of the Kazakh Society of Arrhythmologists, led by Ayan Suleimenovich Abdrakhmanov, to APHRS (Asia Pacific Heart Rhythm Society), opening up new opportunities for international collaboration.

Kazakhstan was represented by 25 participants, who delivered more than 35 scientific presentations.

The Heart Rhythm Research Institute of Astana Medical University NJSC was represented by:

 A.S. Abdrakhmanov — Director of the Institute, Doctor of Medical Sciences, Professor. He delivered a presentation and moderated several scientific sessions, including APHRS and SrHRS sessions.

 A.B. Kalimbetova — Leading Researcher, PhD. She presented a report entitled “Molecular Genetic Prediction of the Risk of New Cardiovascular Events Following Coronary Artery Stenting.”

 R.Ye. Kirkimbayeva — PhD candidate. She presented the findings of her research.

 G. Marat — PhD candidate. She presented her research findings and took part in a team competition and a marathon.

 T.K. Yessenov — third-year doctoral student. He delivered a scientific presentation.

The congress featured excellent organisation, high scientific standards, and a comprehensive programme. Participation in APHRS 2026 provided a valuable opportunity to exchange experience with international experts, showcase research from Kazakhstan, and strengthen professional ties.
