Congratulations to the holders of places of honor of the International Gumilyov Online Olympiad in English

On April 17, 2021, the International Gumilyov Online Olympiad in English was held for students of 1-2 courses of non-linguistic educational programs. at the Philology Faculty of the Eurasian National University. 147 students were admitted to the Olympiad, of which 29 are representatives of countries such as Russia, Hungary, France, China, India, Ukraine, Kyrgyzstan, Turkmenistan. Kazakhstan was represented by the best universities of the country, including NJSC “Astana Medical University”.

The Olympiad was held on the Google forms platform in two rounds: the 1st round of the online Olympiad – listening and reading. Participants completed tasks of varying difficulty in 1 hour. At the end of the round, the results were announced, and only 33 participants made it to the second round. The second round is an oral presentation on the topic “L.N. Gumilyov’s legacy through the eyes of the modern generation”.

All students who participated in the 2nd round perfectly demonstrated their skills and abilities of oral speech in English. Based on the results of two rounds of the Olympiad, the winners were determined:

1st degree diplomas:

3rd degree diplomas:

Alina Akhmetova, group 257 OM (adviser – senior lecturer of the Chair of philological disciplines, master of pedagogical sciences S.A. Tulekeyeva);

Peri Gadzhieva, group 210 Stom (adviser – senior lecturer of the Chair of Philological Disciplines, Master of Pedagogical Sciences A.Sh. Ryskulova).

The organizer and supervisor from our university was the senior lecturer of the department of philological disciplines, master of pedagogical sciences G.Zh. Babzhanova.
