Since February 16, 2021, the Department of Rehabilitation and Sports Medicine has organized and conducts an online seminar "Occupational therapist as part of a multi-disciplinary team" (MDB) for residents in the specialty "Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation" and for teachers of the department. Occupational therapy (Эргργον—work, occupation, θεραπεία-treatment, recovery) is a branch of clinical medicine that specializes in the assessment, development and recovery of activity of people who, as a result of illness or injury, have lost the ability to move, coordinate movements or engage in daily activities.

The seminar is conducted by our invited guest, Associate professor of the Department of Psychological and Pedagogical Disciplines of the Moscow Pedagogical State University (MPSU and MSPPU) and head of the Department. laboratory of speech restoration, phonation and swallowing of the Federal Scientific Center of Resuscitation and Rehabilitation in Moscow Elena Shevtsova. During the seminar, such issues as: theoretical and methodological foundations of occupational therapy, practical skills necessary for conducting the occupational therapy process to the required extent are raised.

We hope that the new knowledge and skills acquired during the seminar will provide appropriate assistance to doctors and residents in their practical activities.
