Since the beginning of 2020, an online journal club of neonatologists of Kazakhstan has been working at the Chair of Neonatology of Astana Medical University. The creators of the club were awarded a copyright certificate on September 29, 2021.

This club is unique in view of its purpose, objectives and composition. The club includes residents and teachers of not only our university, but also other medical universities in Kazakhstan. In addition, the club is expanding its geography, attracting specialists from neonatologists from other countries: Kyrgyzstan, Uzbekistan, etc.

The goal of the online journal club of neonatologists in Kazakhstan is to develop the scientific potential of neonatologists and contribute to their continuous professional development through the use of advanced innovative technologies in neonatology in their activities.

Within the framework of the journal club, online meetings are held weekly, where club members present and analyze international scientific articles. Thus, they share their scientific vision, discuss current problems in neonatology and pediatrics, which contributes to the creation of conditions for self-organization and self-realization of scientific projects of students, teachers and clinicians.
