On January 14, the international scientific and practical conference "Innovative Strategies in Medical Education and the development of the competencies of a medical university teacher: Challenges and Solutions" was held online.

The event was organized by the NAO "Astana Medical University" and the Tashkent Medical Academy.

The main purpose of the conference was to exchange experience in the development and implementation of innovative strategies in the field of science and education in our universities. Vice-rector of the Tashkent Medical Academy, Rector of the Astana Medical University Pavalkis D., projector for academic work Dauletyarova M. A. addressed the conference participants with a welcoming speech.

The conference was moderated by the head of the Department of General Medical Practice with the course of evidence-based medicine of NAO "MUA" Derbisalina G. A. and the senior lecturer of the Department of Pedagogy and Psychology of TMA Komilova M. O.

During the conference, an exchange of experience and opinions took place on various aspects of the qualitative implementation of innovative strategies in medical education, challenges and solutions, especially in the harsh conditions of the Covid-19 pandemic.

The main thematic areas of the conference included:

• Evaluation of the scientific activities of medical universities and their employees;
• Evaluation of the educational activities of medical university staff;
