AMU held a seminar for practicing physicians and epidemiologists on the topic: “Peculiarities of the epidemiology of HIV infection at the present stage”
The meeting was organized to develop and expand scientific cooperation between organizations, as well as to carry out educational activities for practicing clinical staff. The seminar discussed: current data of the world literature describing the issues of global and regional epidemiological statistics of HIV infection; the impact of new and revision of existing risk factors on the incidence and prevalence of HIV infection; the potential of innovative methods of molecular epidemiology, the practice of which has been successfully tested in many countries of the developed world. The material was prepared by 4th year students of the faculties "Medicine" and "Pharmacy" Zhumanov A.A. and Syzdykova A.B. under the guidance of Doctor of Medical Sciences, infectious disease specialist of the highest category, associate professor Makhambetov K.O.
