History of creation:
Educational Technology Transfer Center. The administrative division of the NJSC "Astana Medical University", which improves the quality of education through the continuous development of pedagogical competencies of teaching staff, the organization of the introduction of new educational technologies, teaching methods in the educational process. The center was established as a department of innovative technologies in 2010. From 2010 to 2012, she was supervised by Candidate of Biological Sciences Sarsenova Lyazzat Kadirgalievna. From 2013 to 2017, the department was renamed the Department of Innovative Technologies and Quality Monitoring of education, and since 2017 It was renamed the Department of Innovative Technologies in Education and the quality of Teachers and Professionals accreditation for pedagogical competencies.
With the approval of the new structure of the University (dated March 6, 2018, by the decision of the Board of Astana Medical University NJSC), this department was renamed the Center for the Development of Teaching Staff.
In September 2019, the center was renamed the Center for the Transfer of Educational Technologies, merging with the Department for the Development of the state language.
In 2020, the activities of three divisions were combined under the Center for the Transfer of Innovative and Simulation Educational Technologies.
According to the new structure, from 2021 it was renamed the Center for the Transfer of Educational and Distance Technologies.
From 2013 to 2023, the center was headed by Candidate of Medical Sciences, Professor Abduldayeva Aigul Abduldaevna (graduate of Akmola State Medical University).
With the approval of the new structure of the University by the decision of the Council of the Director of the University No. 8 dated 08/18/2023, the Center was renamed the Center for the Transfer of Educational Technologies.
Purpose:
To create conditions for continuous and systematic professional development of teaching staff, meeting their educational needs.
Tasks:
Assistance in improving the quality of education through methodological support on the introduction of new educational learning technologies into the educational process of departments.
Assistance in teaching teaching staff on the application of new teaching technologies in the educational process of departments.
Functions
1. Issuance and registration of certificates of implementation of new technologies/teaching methods.
2. Development and monitoring of the implementation of an Action Plan for the introduction of effective teaching technologies/methods in the educational process.
3. Development of regulatory documents on the activities of the center on the introduction of new educational technologies.
4. Providing consulting support and organizational support on the development and implementation of new educational technologies
5. Analysis of the effectiveness of the introduction of NOTES / teaching methods into the educational process of departments.
6. Organizing and conducting training events on effective technologies/teaching methods.
7. Preparation and approval of technical specifications for teaching effective technologies/teaching methods.
8. Conducting and analyzing feedback from students of training events on effective technologies/teaching methods.
9. Monitoring and analysis of the level of trained teaching staff on effective technologies / teaching methods
10. Development of a risk register and an action plan for risk management in teaching effective technologies/teaching methods.
11. Conducting analytical work on current pedagogical technologies.
12. Development of the work plan of the center and the formation of the annual report of the Center.
13. Development and provision of proposals and recommendations to the University management on improving the educational process.
14. Participation in the improvement and strengthening of the educational and methodological service of the University by making proposals, participating in the development of internal regulatory documents.
Achievement
Since 2013, the center's staff has organized and conducted more than 300 training events on medical education and new teaching methods, including advanced training courses, seminars, workshops and trainings.
Consultations are provided on the application of educational technologies and the introduction of new educational technologies into the educational process.
Thus, the main results of the Center's work are :
1) a system of continuous improvement of the potential of University teachers based on a competence-based approach has been introduced;
2) the need of University teaching staff for personal and pedagogical growth and development has been realized;
3) conditions have been created to increase innovation activity and implement the results of teaching staff training.
