History of creation

The idea of ​​organizing a university museum repeatedly was discussed by the Academic Council of JSC «MUA». The rector of the university M.Z. Shaidarov issued an order No.10 dated 17.01.2010 on the establishment of a commission headed by vice-rector for educational activities and public relations Akhmetov K.K., a room was allocated for the museum in building 51 and repair tools. The staff of the museum was approved. The organization of the museum was entrusted to the veteran of the university, Professor Omarova V.A.

By the decision of the Board of the Company dated November 4, 2010, Minutes No. 36 and the Board of Directors, Minutes No. 12 dated December 14, 2010, it was decided to establish a museum of the University of JSC «MUA».

The museum was created by the whole university. Employees of the university, museum workers, collected materials, worked in the archives of the university and the city.

On June 14, 2012, the opening of the museum took place in JSC «MUA».

Veterans of the university, deputies of the Parliament of the Republic of Kazakhstan, representatives of the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Kazakhstan, chief doctors of the city hospitals, public figures of the city, professors and teachers of the departments of the university took part in the opening of the Museum.

To popularize the history of the University.

Goals and objectives

• conducting collecting, scientific-stock and excursion work;

• promotion of the historical, cultural, educational and scientific heritage of the University;
  

• professional orientation of youth, education of morality, patriotism based on the materials of historical documents and exhibits in the museum;
  

• informing and involving schoolchildren, applicants, students, teachers of the broad masses of the population and guests of the University in all types of University activities in a wide variety of formats;
  

• formation of cultural, moral and aesthetic personality of students;a base for holding various events, including meetings with veterans of the Great Patriotic War, labor, University graduates.
  

Activity

In order to adapt freshmen students, as well as with in order to familiarize them and students of other courses with the history and achievements of the university, the University Museum conducts survey and thematic excursions for students throughout the year. As part of the career guidance work of the university, the Museum conducts excursions for schoolchildren of the city and regions of Kazakhstan.

The main exhibits of the museum are devoted to the history of the formation of the university, departments, scientific and sports achievements of teachers and students, contacts with the country's medical universities, and international relations. The museum of the university is visited with interest by employees, students, young teachers, graduates of our university, applicants, deputies of the Parliament of the Republic of Kazakhstan, guests from other states and representatives of embassies in the Republic of Kazakhstan.

The museum, being the center of the moral and educational work of the university, does a lot of work with student youth.

Achievements

The attendance of the museum by students of NJSC «AMU» of all courses, parents of students, applicants, schoolchildren, students from other countries on academic mobility, foreign scientists visiting NJSC «AMU» and graduates of past years has increased. The equipment of the museum with showcases dedicated to the anniversaries of the university is increasing. A 3D tour of the museum has been developed and introduced, the exhibits are being introduced into the digital mode (with the placement of information on the university website - in a virtual museum), with access via QR codes.
