The process of admission to the Magistracy

STAGE I – COMPREHENSIVE TESTING (CT)

The applicant for registration in the database of CT participants submits an application online through the website of the National Testing Center from:

1) from June 1 to July 5 of the calendar year

2) from Oktober 25 to November 10 of the calendar year.

Persons entering the scientific and pedagogical master's degree program take a CT, which includes a test in a foreign language (English, German, French, optional), a test on the profile of groups of educational programs, a test to determine readiness for elective study in Kazakh or Russian.

Persons entering a specialized master's program with Kazakh or Russian language of instruction take a CT test, which includes a test on the profile of groups of educational programs of their choice in Kazakh or Russian.

Persons entering a specialized master's program with English as the language of instruction take a CT test, which includes a test on the profile of groups of educational programs in English.

STAGE II – PARTICIPATION IN THE COMPETITION FOR THE AWARD OF AN EDUCATIONAL GRANT

To participate in the competition for the award of an educational grant, the applicant submits the documents specified in the Standard Rules for Admission to educational organizations implementing educational programs of higher and postgraduate education, approved by Order of the Ministry of Education and Science of the Republic of Kazakhstan dated October 31, 2018 No. 600 through the information system of the National Testing Center and (or) to the university admissions committee.

The applicant for the master's degree in the application indicates a group of educational programs and three OVPO. Information about the deadlines is published on the official Internet resource of the authorized body in the field of education.

STAGE III – ADMISSION TO THE UNIVERSITY

Admission to the Master's program is carried out in the following terms:

1) from August 15 to August 28 of the calendar year;

2) from December 26 to January 10 of the calendar year.

Enrollment for training under the state educational order on a competitive basis, persons who have scored the highest points on CT are enrolled:

STAGE III – ADMISSION TO THE UNIVERSITY

Admission to the Master's program is carried out in the following terms:

1) from August 15 to August 28 of the calendar year;

2) from December 26 to January 10 of the calendar year.

Enrollment for training under the state educational order on a competitive basis, persons who have scored the highest points on CT are enrolled:

1) for scientific and pedagogical master's programs: at least 75 points, with a foreign language - at least 25 points, according to the profile of a group of educational programs: in the first core discipline - at least 7 points, in the second core discipline - at least 7 points, on the test to determine readiness for learning - at least 7 points;

2) for specialized master’s programs with Kazakh or Russian language of instruction: at least 30 points, while according to the profile of a group of educational programs: in the first specialized discipline - at least 7 points, in the second specialized discipline - at least 7 points;

3) for specialized master’s programs with English as the language of instruction: at least 30 points, while in the profile of a group of educational programs: in the first specialized discipline - at least 7 points, in the second specialized discipline - at least 7 points;

Enrollment of persons into scientific and pedagogical master's programs on a paid basis is carried out based on the results of CT in accordance with the 150-point grading system for CT in master's programs with Kazakh or Russian language of instruction: at least 75 points, while in a foreign language - at least 25 points, in the first specialized discipline - no less than 7 points, in the second specialized discipline - no less than 7 points, in the test to determine readiness for learning - no less than 7 points.

Enrollment of persons into specialized master's programs with Kazakh or Russian as the language of instruction on a paid basis is carried out based on the results of CT in accordance with the 70-point grading system for comprehensive testing in specialized master's programs with Kazakh or Russian as the language of instruction: at least 30 points, according to the profile of the group educational programs: in the first specialized discipline - at least 7 points, in the second specialized discipline - at least 7 points.

Enrollment of persons into specialized master's programs with English as the language of instruction on a paid basis is carried out based on the results of the CT in accordance with the 70-point grading system for comprehensive testing in specialized master's programs with English as the language of instruction: at least 30 points, while according to the profile of the group of educational programs: according in the first specialized discipline - at least 7 points, in the second specialized discipline - at least 7 points.

Persons who have at least five years of experience in a leadership position in accordance with the register of positions of political and administrative civil servants, the register of positions of civil servants in relevant industries or at least ten years of experience in the relevant profile of an educational program of a specialized master's degree are enrolled on a paid basis based on the results of an interview.
