BASIC INFORMATION
Research Institute of Preventive Medicine named after. Academician E.D. Dalenov (hereinafter referred to as the Research Institute) was created on April 6, 2023. The main goal of the research institute is scientific and educational activities and the development of experimental and design work in the field of preventive medicine.
The idea of creating a research institute belongs to the founder of the scientific foundations of preventive medicine in the Republic of Kazakhstan, academician of the Academy of Preventive Medicine of the Republic of Kazakhstan, the first graduate of the Tselinograd State Medical Institute (TSMI), Honored Worker of the Republic of Kazakhstan, the best teacher of the University, a famous specialist in the field of life sciences, an authority in the field of healthcare, doctor medical sciences, professor - DALENOV ERBOLAT DERBISALIEVICH.

HISTORY
SRI was transformed from the Department of Preventive Medicine and Nutrition, which has strong roots since 1999. For the first time in Kazakhstan, in 1999, the valeology department of Akmolа was organized in connection with the opening in our republic of the National Center for the formation of a healthy lifestyle (NC PF Hl) and the adoption of the Governmental Program "Healthy Lifestyle" and the State Program "Healthy People".
The first employees of the department were: head of the department, MD, professor Dalenov Erbolat Derbisalievich; MD, Professor Tel Leonid Zygmontovich; MD, professor Zueva Olga Mikhailovna; Ph.D., associate professor Ramazanov Alibek Mendybaevich.

TEL LEONID ZIGMONDOVICH - doctor of medical sciences, first professor and one of the founders of the department of valeology with a course of immunology, professor of the department of preventive medicine and nutrition of JSC "MUA".
In our republic, Leonid Zygmondovich Tel is considered one of the founders and developers of the field of valeology in medicine.
Professor Tel L.Z. is the president of the Academy of Valeology of the Republic of Kazakhstan, is an academician of the Academy of Medical Sciences of the Republic of Kazakhstan, the Academy of Preventive Medicine of the Republic of Kazakhstan, a full member of the New York Academy of Sciences (USA), the initiator of the creation of the Academy of Valeology of the Republic of Kazakhstan and the chairman of the editorial board of the scientific and practical journal "Valeology: health-health-recovery" ".
From 1965 to 1984 he worked at the Department of Pathological Physiology of the Central State Medical Institute as a trainee researcher, assistant, and associate professor.
From 1984 to 1994 Professor Tel L.Z. worked as head of the department of normal physiology at the Central State Medical Institute. At the same time, he paid considerable attention to improving educational and methodological work, searching and implementing various forms of optimization of the educational process. In 1995, Leonid Zsigmondovich headed the course of clinical pathophysiology at the Department of Anesthesiology and Reanimatology of the Central State Medical Institute. In the same year, he was sent to the USA by the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Kazakhstan. For many years he carried out scientific and teaching activities at the Department of Preventive Medicine and Nutrition with a course in sports medicine at Astana Medical University JSC, as well as at a number of universities in the USA: Essence Natural Institute, Institute of Global Solution, Institute of Education Development Advance "
Leonid Zsigmondovich is the author of more than 350 journal articles, 51 textbooks on normal and pathological physiology, valeology (Russian and Kazakh), biology (Russian and Kazakh), as well as monographs. Textbooks and books by Leonid Zsigmondovich are in demand in near and far abroad and have been translated into English, Hungarian, Czech and Arabic. Leonid Zsigmondovich is the author of 60 inventions, some of which are used abroad (USA, Poland). Under the leadership of academician Tel L.Z. Bapol food product has been developed and patented.
Academician Toregeldi Sharmanovich Sharmanov plays a huge role in the development of preventive medicine.
SHARMANOV TOREGELDY SHARMANOVICH – Doctor of Medical Sciences, Professor, Academician of the Russian Academy of Sciences and the National Academy of Sciences of the Republic of Kazakhstan, President of the Kazakh Academy of Nutrition and the Academy of Preventive Medicine of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Professor of the Department of Preventive Medicine and Nutrition of JSC "MUA".
Academician Sharmanov T.Sh.
After graduating from the Karaganda State Medical Institute with honors in 1955 and postgraduate studies (1958-1962), he worked as the chief physician of the Ulytau central district hospital of the Karaganda region. From 1962 to 1968 Head of the Nutrition Department of the Research Institute of Regional Pathology of the Ministry of Health of the Kazakh SSR. From 1968 to 1971 - rector of the Aktobe State Medical Institute, at the same time headed the department of pharmacology.
From 1971 to 1982 served as Minister of Health of the Kazakh SSR.
From 1973 to the present, T. Sh. Sharmanov is the founder and President of the Kazakh Academy of Nutrition.
Since May 1995 - founder and president of the Academy of Preventive Medicine of Kazakhstan.
Since 1997, Toregeldy Sharmanovich has been the editor-in-chief of the magazine “Health and Disease”.
Under his leadership, 40 doctoral and 135 candidate dissertations were defended. T. Sh. Sharmanov is the author of about 460 publications, including 38 monographs and 40 inventions. He was elected to the Parliament of the Republic of Kazakhstan three times.
In 2001, T. Sharmanov became a laureate of the State Prize of the Republic of Kazakhstan in the field of science and technology for a series of works by a team of authors: “Development of fundamental and applied aspects of nutrition science in the Republic” (for the period 1974 to 2000).
T. Sh. Sharmanov has been an Honored Worker of the Republic of Kazakhstan since 2001 and a laureate of the independent award “Platinum Tarlan in the Science category” (2003).
In 2005, for his outstanding contribution to global health, he received WHO's highest award - the Medal. Leon Bernard. Awarded a memorial sign from the UN CHILDREN'S FUND for his special contribution to improving the situation of children and protecting their rights in the Republic of Kazakhstan (2007).
