Research Grant Competitions

NJSC "Astana Medical University" in accordance with the regulation "On intra-university grant financing PL-MUA-167-23" and on the basis of order No. 469-n/k dated 09/19/2023 in order to promote the development of research activities at the University, the involvement of employees and students The University in research activities, their stimulation and support in research activities, increasing interest in science, creating a sustainable scientific and innovative environment in the conditions of modern society, is holding a competition for intra-university grant funding for scientific projects for 2023-2025.

The period for implementation of scientific projects should not exceed 26 months (starting from November 2023). The recommended budget for a scientific project for each calendar year is no more than 5 million tenge.

The competition for intra-university grant funding for scientific projects is held in 4 stages:

1. Stage 1 – acceptance of applications and technical examination;

2. Stage 2 – consideration of applications for compliance with requirements for design and content within the framework of the Scientific and Technical Council (STC);

3. Stage 3 – examination of applications by an independent expert group;

4. Stage 4 – discussion of applications and making a decision on awarding grants at a meeting of the Scientific and Technical Council.

Necessary documents for participation in the competition

1) application for participation in the competition in state or Russian (abstract, explanatory note and calculation of the requested funding) in accordance with Appendix 3 (see Regulations PL-MUA-167-23);

2) positive conclusion of the local and (or) central commission on bioethics (for biomedical research on humans and animals);

3) a list of participants in the scientific project, indicating the scientific and pedagogical experience of the project participants and the correspondence of positions in the project, signed by the project manager and the seal of the department;

4) supporting documents on the compliance of the project manager (indicating the topic of the article, percentile, quartile of the journal from the Web of Science and (or) Scopus database);

5) if there is a private partner - an agreement on the contribution from the private partner (on partial provision of the project with the necessary resources, including financial ones, at least 1 (one)% of the total amount of the application for the entire period of project implementation;

6) for projects with international collaboration, it is necessary to have an agreement or memorandum on collaboration and cooperation between organizations, containing the name of the project and information about the scientific supervisor - a resident of the Republic of Kazakhstan, the purpose of joint work, a brief description of the collaboration process with deadlines for completing the work, information on financing of all parties and their sources. A collaboration agreement or memorandum and cooperation between organizations must be signed by the heads of the organization and representatives of all foreign scientific groups participating in it, indicating their email addresses (from the official domain of the scientific organization). Projects with international collaboration are understood as projects aimed at achieving a common goal by scientific groups from different countries.

Applications for participation in the competition are accepted from September 19 to October 16, 2023 inclusive.
