History of creation
The department takes its origins from the 1965-1966 academic year, when it was originally formed as a department of philosophy. Much credit in its formation and development belongs to the first head of the department, Ph.D., associate professors Krasnov G.P., Gagarin N.S., Pak N.D., who headed this structural unit in 1965-1981.
1982 to 1984 Head of the department Ph.D. associate professor Shaprov V.K.
1984-1996 Head of the department Ph.D. Sanitskaya Lyubov Vasilievna. 1996-2002, the department was headed by Candidate of Economic Sciences, Associate Professor Tamara Grigorievna Shlyakhtich.
2002-2003 academic year Ph.D. Gulnar Shaydayevna Nasilina, a graduate of the Faculty of Philosophy of Leningrad State University named after A. Zhdanov, becomes the head of the department.
2003, since February, the department of social and political disciplines was allocated, the department was headed by candidate of social sciences, associate professor Imakova Gaziza Osmanovna.
2003-2004, the department was headed by the senior lecturer Aitbaeva R.T.
In 2004-2006, the department was headed by a graduate of the Semipalatinsk Pedagogical Institute, Doctor of Philosophy, Professor Kalimash Kabsamatovna Begalinovna. Author of a number of books and manuals for medical students.
2006-2007, the department of social and humanitarian disciplines was headed by a graduate of Moscow State University named after M.L. Lomonosov, Ph.D., Associate Professor Imangali Sarbasov.
In 2007, the department of social and humanitarian disciplines was headed by Ph.D., a graduate of the faculty of the KarSU named after E. Buketov - Omarova Nikira Asulbekovna.
From November 2008-2017, the head of the SRS department was the candidate of historical sciences, associate professor Aminov Talgatbek Makhmetovich - a graduate of the Alma-Ata Higher Party School and the Alma-Ata Institute of National Economy, who worked for a long time in the public service, combining it with active teaching in Almaty and Uralsk.
Since September 2017, the head of the department is the candidate of historical sciences, professor Omarova Bibijamal Kozhakhmetovna - a graduate of the Abai KazNPU.
Objectives
To give objective historical knowledge about the main stages of the history of modern Kazakhstan, to direct the attention of students to the problems of the formation and development of independent statehood in Kazakhstan; to bring to the consciousness of students the essence of the fundamental problems of history, to teach them the scientific methods of historical knowledge, to form their scientific worldview and civic position.
Functions
- Conducting all types of training sessions in the form of training; - Conducting a meeting of the department on the discussion of planned and current issues of educational, methodological, scientific work.
Activities
Educational and material base:
The department has seven classrooms and two classrooms (for the head of the department and teachers), as well as two utility (auxiliary) premises with a total area of 268.4 sq. M. The department has 8 computers with printers, 1 scanner.
Educational and methodical work:
According to the instructional letter of the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Kazakhstan, the department has all the documents on the nomenclature of cases (19 folders in total). There are provisions on the department and the activities of the teaching staff; standard and working programs for students of all specialties in the state and Russian languages, guidelines for students and teachers, pedagogical and department journals, journals for practicing.
The department has stands reflecting the history of the department, educational, methodological, scientific, organizational and educational work. All this is widely used when giving lectures and conducting practical exercises.
The department timely carries out organizational and methodological measures related to the state exam in the disciplines "Modern history of Kazakhstan".
Scientific work:
A student scientific circle is organized and operates at the department.
5-7 scientific reports are submitted annually to the final student conference with subsequent publication in scientific journals.
In April 2010, the Department of History of Kazakhstan, together with the Department of Philosophy and Sociology, held a scientific conference of students on the topic: "Strategic plan 2020: socio-economic and political development of Kazakhstan at the present stage", at which more than 40 students made relevant reports. The organizing committee awarded the best reports of students.
In 2010, a scientific student conference was held on the topic: "20 years of independence: socio-economic and political growth of the Republic of Kazakhstan." 85 students spoke at the conference. The best works of students were marked with hamot and letters of thanks.
In December 2012-2013, a student scientific conference was held on the topic: "20 steps to the future", 2013-2014 academic year December 12 "History of the people, the people's liberation movement"
On the initiative of the department, several international scientific and practical conferences were successfully held annually, including at a high level conferences dedicated to the 550th anniversary of the Kazakh Khanate and the 25th anniversary of the Independence of the Republic of Kazakhstan were organized.
For the achievements in scientific work in 2017, the department headed by him was awarded a letter of thanks from the Rector of JSC "MUA".
Annually 10-15 scientific articles of our teachers are published in the republican press. The teaching staff of the department takes part in international and republican conferences, speaking at them with reports.
Ph.D. T.M. Aminov in the 2008-2009 academic year published the textbook "Kazakhstan tarikhy (kune zamannan boging deyin)". Professor, Doctor of History S.Z. Baimagambetov published a teaching manual "Development of health care in the Republic of Kazakhstan in 1980-2000."
Senior lecturer Karbozov A.E. published an educational-methodical manual "Sayasattanu pнni boyinsha interactivity disterdi oldanu."
Associate Professor of the Kaferda, Ph.D. B.K. Omarova and senior lecturer, master of historical sciences B.K. Kamzaev in 2011 and 2013 published a teaching manual for all specialties "History of Kazakhstan".
Professors Ph.D., T.M. Aminov in 2017 published the textbooks "Kazirgi Kazakhstan Tarihy", "Modern history of Kazakhstan" "Modern history of Kazakhstan.
Ph.D., associate professor of the department Zh.I. Daulbaeva in the 2017-2018 academic year published the textbook "Philosophy".
Educational work:
The department takes an active part in all events held by the university and the administration of the city of Astana with the involvement of student creative potential.
Educational work among students is carried out both during school and outside school hours. During the training period, it is carried out taking into account the specifics of the department's activities. Each lecture and seminar includes an educational aspect. As part of the study of social and humanitarian disciplines, students get acquainted with the main provisions of the strategy "Kazakhstan - 2030", with the annual Messages of the President of the country to the people of Kazakhstan, the history of state symbols of the Republic of Kazakhstan, traditions and customs of the peoples living in Kazakhstan. Within the framework of seminars on the history of Kazakhstan, first-year students traditionally visit the Presidential Center of Culture, an ethnopark, the historical house-museum of Saken Seifullin. For seminars, students prepare essays on the most important events in the socio-political life of Kazakhstani society.
The teachers of the department are the curators of the first-year student groups of the respective faculties. During the academic year, the curators regularly meet with students living in the hostel, they conduct talks and lectures on social and political topics. The plans of the educational work of the department include measures to form a healthy lifestyle, including the organization of cultural leisure and sports competitions.
Achievements
The educational, medical and scientific work of the department has significantly improved, which is specifically indicated in the previous sections of this information.
All this had a positive effect on improving the quality of the educational process. So, at the state exam in the disciplines "Kazakhstanny kazirgi zaman tarikhy" and "Modern history of Kazakhstan" during the winter session of this academic year, students showed mostly good and excellent knowledge.
