Aims
is to improve the professional and pedagogical skills of teachers, to introduce new innovative methods into the educational process, to participate in scientific and methodological conferences and seminars, and implement of close links between educational and upbringing work among students, creation of teaching aids for professional Kazakh, Russian and English languages, to participate in seminars, teaching conferences, training courses, to conduct seminars, open classes, master classes, to improve teaching aids.
History of foundation
The Department of Foreign Languages was founded in 1964. The first head of the Department of Foreign Languages of the Tselinograd Medical Institute was Serdyuk I.P. Then, in different years, the heads were Abramov L.P., Candidate of Philological sciences, Associate Professor Shafarenko Yu.Yu., Levus G.P., Candidate of Philological sciences, Associate Professor Kaliyeva A.K., and Master of Pedagological sciences Akhmetova G.M. The Department of Philological Disciplines originates from the departments of "Kazakh Language", "Latin language" and "Russian Language".
Since September 2019 the Department of Philological Disciplines and the Department of Foreign Languages were combined together and the head of the department is currently Candidate of pedagogical sciences, Associate Professor D.R. Zharikova.
Activity
Currently, the Department of Philological Disciplines employs teachers with deep knowledge of their subject. Among them are 4 candidates of science, 4 associate professors, 30 senior masters teachers, 1 teachers, 1 laboratory assistant.
The Department of Philological Disciplines takes an active part in the scientific and cultural life of the university. The teachers of the department take part in international, republican and university scientific conferences. It contributes to the social life of the university and is an integral part of the university policy on mastering the state language. In connection with the tasks it became important to conduct office work in the state language and systematically teach the Kazakh language to university students.
Achievements
The teachers of the department were awarded the badge “Kurmetti Ustaz”, the Certificate of Honor, the medal “30 Years of Service”, the medal “Kumis” for long-term work at Astana Medical University, and the Certificate of Honor of the Ministry of Health.
The Department of Philological Disciplines is on the path of continuous growth. The teachers of the department have published teaching aids, and scientific articles annually. The teaching staff of the department prepares students for scientific conferences. Students take an active part in international, republican and university scientific and practical conferences.
