Education: 2002–2017, Bachelor’s degree, internship, and residency in Pediatrics. Master’s and PhD in Medicine at Astana Medical University (NJSC “AMU”).
Academic activities: Author of over 70 scientific publications, participant in national and international projects, author and co-author of educational and methodological manuals.
Professional qualifications: First-category physician, allergist-immunologist.
Memberships: Republican Public Association of Nursing Specialists “Paryz”; Association of Gerontologists and Geriatricians of Kazakhstan; Association of Allergologists and Clinical Immunologists of Kazakhstan.

Aims

The purpose of the department is to plan, organize and implement educational, methodological, clinical, scientific work, current, intermediate and final control of students' education in accordance with curricula and programs.

History of creation

The Chair of Nursing was established by the decision of the Board of Directors of NJSC "Astana Medical University" (meeting of the Board of Directors No. 7) dated July 24, 2019.

Activities

The department provides three-level training: undergraduate, graduate, doctoral PhD in nursing. As part of the bachelor's degree, training is carried out in three educational programs with a training period of 4 years, 2 years 6 months on the basis of secondary vocational education and 10 months on the basis of applied baccalaureate.

The main activities of the department, along with educational, are scientific, clinical.

Employees of the Department of Nursing participate in the implementation of international projects, such as ProInCa, Accelerated, funded by the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Kazakhstan, the Ministry of Education and Science of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Erasmus+ and the World Bank. Also, the teaching staff of the department are trained in academic mobility in foreign countries (Finland, Lithuania), participate in the development of state education standards and standard curricula in the specialty "Nursing".

The department is located on clinical bases, where the teachers of the department conduct consulting, therapeutic and diagnostic work. The staff of the department actively participates in the social life of the University and city hospitals, medical centers. The staff of the department regularly improve their professional and pedagogical competence at courses, seminars, master classes at the university, national, and international levels.

Achievements

According to the results of the ranking of educational programs of universities for 2021, conducted by NCE «Atameken», the specialty «Nursing» took 2nd place among all medical universities of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

In 2020, the Educational Program in the specialty «Nursing»was accredited at the undergraduate level, as well as the doctoral program «Nursing Science».

Educational programs have been developed for the doctoral program «Nursing Science» and for a shortened form of study lasting 2 years 6 months on the basis of secondary vocational education and 10 months on the basis of an applied bachelor's degree for nurses of practical healthcare.

Together with Finnish partners, the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Kazakhstan created a pre-PhD program in the specialty «Nursing».

Master classes were held by international experts from Vilnius University and the Medical Academy of the University of Lithuania on topical issues of nursing for teaching staff, students of the Faculty of Nursing and nurses of practical healthcare.
