History of the Chair:
The Chair of Internal Diseases with courses of nephrology, hematology, allergology and immunology, the former Chair of Faculty Therapy, was organized in 1966 on the basis of the 1st city Hospital. The founder of the Chair and its first head was Professor I. A. Melnik (1966-1968), later the Chair was headed by: Associate Professor N. P. Kukina (1968-1978), associate professor M.A. Pak (1979-1999), Professor T. Z. Seisembekov (2000-2002), Professor S. A. Baydurin (from 2002-2018). The Chair of Internal Diseases in different years included the following courses: the polyclinic course, which was headed by the Candidate of Medical Sciences Bespalyuk A. Ya., the course of hematology under the guidance of the Candidate of Medical Sciences Galustyan A. Sh., course of endocrinology and therapeutic nutrition (head of the course – associate professor Kukina N.P. and associate professor Ibraeva M.T.), occupational diseases (head of the PhD Zhuravlev V.I. and assoc. Pak M.A.), polyclinics and physiotherapy (Head Associate Professor Preobrazhenskaya L.A.), clinical pharmacology (Head Associate Professor Song Yong-ai), military field therapy (Associate Professor Komarover N.A. and Professor Omarova V.A.), allergology and immunology (acting head assistant professor M.N. Dolgieva), course of physical therapy and medical supervision (head associate Professor Kim L.A.).From 2002 to 2018 academic years, the Chair of Internal Diseases No. 1 was headed by MD, Professor Baidurin S.A., then from 2018-2019 he was acting head of the Chair, PhD, Associate Professor Zhakupov M.K., 2019-2020 academic years the Chair was headed by MD, Professor Zhusupova G.K., and in the 2020-2021 academic year the Chair Internal Diseases No. 1 was renamed to the Chair of Internal Diseases with a course of Nephrology, Hematology, Allergology and immunology, from this academic year to the present, the Chair is headed by MD, Professor Turebekov D.K.
Goals:
planning, organization and implementation of educational, methodological, clinical, educational work, current, intermediate and final control of students' education in accordance with curricula and programs;training of highly qualified specialists and scientific and pedagogical personnel, improving their qualifications in master's, doctoral, residency on the basis of the trinity of education, science and practice";
planning and conducting scientific research in fundamental and priority areas for practical health care, implementation of the results of research and innovative technologies.
Functions:
development of a strategy for the development of the Chair in the areas and specialties of training, strengthening and development of external relations with employers and educational authorities;implementation of educational programs of the State higher professional and postgraduate education in the profile of the Chair;
development of an intra-Chairal quality system for training specialists;
conducting all types of training sessions according to the forms of training (4th year of GM – bachelor's degree, residency, doctoral studies);
maintaining an electronic journal of academic performance by the staff of the Chair according to the pedagogical load;
holding meetings of the Chair to discuss planned and current issues of educational, methodological, clinical, scientific work of staff and educational work with students;
development of curricula in the disciplines of the Chair;
implementation of comprehensive educational and methodological organizational and methodological support of the educational process according to the profile of the Chair, conducting training and production practices;
Activities of the Chair:
The teaching staff of the Chair has a fairly high professional level of training. The Chair employs 8 doctors of medical sciences, professors; 9 candidates of medical sciences, associate professors, 16 assistants and 2 senior teachers. The degree of the Chair was 48.5%.Currently, students of 4-6-7 courses are studying in the specialty "General Medicine". The Chair trains residents in the following specialties: "adult nephrology, including children's", "adult hematology", "adult endocrinology, children's", "adult gastroenterology, children's", "adult pulmonology, children's", "Adult Allergology, children's". Students are taught at the Chair in three languages (Kazakh, Russian, English).
Leading professors, associate professors of the Chair conduct advanced training courses at the NAS MUA.
All teachers of the Chair have qualified medical categories and certificates of specialists. 90% of the staff of the Chair work in the Unified National Health System (UNHS).
The staff of the Chair carry out a lot of medical and advisory work together with practical health care every day. Scientific and practical, pathoanatomic conferences, seminars, clinical rounds and consultations are held with the participation of the faculty of the Chair. There are presentations by leading employees at congresses, symposiums of the international level. The Chair actively carries out the work of the PTS, repeatedly student works under the guidance of the teaching staff received prizes.
Achievement of the Chair:
Under the guidance of leading doctors of sciences, professors, a number of master's, PhD and doctoral works have been defended. Almost all employees are members of professional associations and leading professors of the Chair head a number of professional associations:D.K. Turebekov, Chairman of the RSO "Society of Nephrologists, Dialysis Doctors and Transplantologists", member of the Russian Dialysis Society; co-director of the collaborative scientific project between MUA and Nazarbayev University - "Development and validation of hybrid Brillouin-Raman spectroscopy for noninvasive evaluation of mechanochemical properties of urine proteins as biomarkers of kidney diseases". 2 papers have been published jointly on this project at the international level. Under the guidance of D.K. Turebekov, 1 candidate's thesis was defended, the topic of the doctoral dissertation was approved.
Professor, Doctor of Medical Sciences, Baidurin S.A., Chairman of the Quality Organization Committee for Master's and Doctoral studies, member of the Disciplinary Council of the NAOS“MUA”, member of the RSO of hematologists. 2 doctoral dissertations and 3 master's theses have been defended.
Professor, MD, Mukatova I.Yu., is the chairman of the PA "Association of Respiratory Medicine Specialists", a member of the European Respiratory Society, a member of the Russian Respiratory Society. 2 PhD theses and 4 master's theses were complete under her leadership.
Professor, Doctor of Medical Sciences, Rakhmetova V.S., heads the Society of Hepatological and Gastroenterological specialists, Chairman of the Local Ethical Commission in the NAS “MUA”, member of the Asian and European Association for the Study of the Liver, member of the European Club of Pancreatologists ERS, member of the Association of Transplantologists of the Turkic World, member of the Kazakh Association for the Study of the Liver, member of the editorial board of medical journals with a gastroenterological profile of Russia, Belarus, Ukraine.
Professor, MD, S.M. Sarkulova, is a member of the Russian Society of Cardiology, under her leadership 4 master's theses, 2 candidate's theses and 1 doctoral dissertation were completed.
Professor, MD, Rakhymbekova G.A., Chairman of the Attestation Commission for attestation of residents in the NCOT.
