On March 29, as part of the initiative to raise awareness of the importance of environmental sustainable development, a special training was held on the topic “The concept of sustainable development. The ecological aspect”. The event was attended by teachers and students of the University, including foreign students.

The training was organized by the Center for Strategic Development and the Chair of Public Health and Hygiene. The lecture was conducted by the head of the Chair of PH and Hygiene R.K. Suleimenova, Associate professor G.U. Orazova, lecturer Zh.T. Yermakhan, senior lecturer A.S. Zeynoldina, senior lecturer F.T. Amirseitova. The training was conducted in three languages.

The training program covered a wide range of issues, starting from the theoretical foundations of the sustainable development concept, including the essence and evolution of scientific views and ending with the principles of sustainable development in the global economy.

Within the first part of the program, the participants were acquainted with the environmental component of the concept of sustainable development and its main parameters. The second part of the course included the study of international norms and contradictions in the implementation of the concept of sustainable development, as well as the assessment of sustainable development taking into account the Kazakhstani context.

The training was conducted with an emphasis on the practical applicability of the acquired knowledge and the search for ways to solve the problems of implementing the concept of sustainable development. We are convinced that a deliberate approach to environmental issues can change our future for the better. Therefore, each of us should continue working in this direction, applying the knowledge gained in practice and contributing to the preservation of the environment and ensuring the sustainable development of our society.
