In the period from June 24 to June 28, 2024, the Department of Microbiology and Virology named after Sh.I. Sarbasova, together with the Department of Public Health and Epidemiology, conducted a course of additional education within the framework of the Summer School 2024 program on the topic “Sanitary Microbiology of Food Products.” Mamyrbek Zhasmin Galymzhankyzy, a student of group 110 of the EP “Dentistry”, showed interest in training in order to obtain completely new knowledge in the field of sanitary microbiology of food products.
During the week, experienced teachers worked with the student – professors of the Department of Microbiology and Virology named after Sh.I. Sarbasova, Ph.D. Baiduissenova A.U. and Ph.D. Dusmagambetova A.M., Head of the Department of Health and Epidemiology, Doctor of Medical Sciences, Professor Musina A.A., senior teachers Bekniyazova G.A., Sutimbekova N.S. and Erdenova G.K.
The professors gave lectures on the basics of sanitary and microbiological research of food products, microorganisms associated with food safety, food safety assessment, risks of food infections and poisoning. In addition, as part of the Mamyrbek summer school course, Jasmine improved practical skills in conducting sanitary microbiological studies and microscopy of native smears. I got acquainted with the work of the laboratory department of the "City Clinic №5" of the Akimat of Astana, as well as the sanitary and hygienic laboratory of the NJSC "Astana Medical University".
Having completed her studies at the summer school, Mamyrbek Jasmine gained valuable experience and knowledge that can help her in her further training and career in clinical medicine. Studying in the Sanitary Food Microbiology program allowed her to expand her professional horizons and acquire the practical skills necessary to successfully work in the medical field. We hope that the knowledge and experience gained will help Mamyrbek Jasmine achieve new heights in her career and benefit society.
