On September 13, 2024, Astana Medical University hosted an IT meeting with representatives from medical universities in Kazakhstan, including NAO “Kazakh National Medical University named after S.D. Asfendiyarov,” NAO “Medical University of Karaganda,” NAO “Medical University of Semey,” South Kazakhstan Medical Academy, and others.

During the meeting, participants discussed the development of information technologies in the educational process, including the effectiveness of current IT solutions, opportunities for joint projects to enhance IT infrastructure, and challenges faced by IT departments in universities. The participants shared experiences and best practices to improve IT processes.

Astana Medical University demonstrated its IT solutions implemented within the «Smart AMU» system, particularly the «iKömek» and «Dormitory Booking» services. The «iKömek» service functions as a monitoring and rapid response center, introducing a unique task selection and resolution mechanism that transforms community feedback and ideas into concrete actions. The «Dormitory Booking» service simplifies the dormitory reservation process, providing a user-friendly and intuitive interface.

As a result of the meeting, participants agreed to jointly implement projects aimed at enhancing the educational process and developing IT infrastructure. This will allow Kazakhstan's medical universities to more effectively respond to modern challenges and implement innovative solutions in the field of education.
