The adaptation week was organized by the School of Dentistry from 2 –9 September! Such events play an important role in helping students transition smoothly into university life. The involvement of parents is also beneficial, as it helps create a supportive environment.
The School of Dentistry has put a strong emphasis on informing students and their families about the key policies, such as academic integrity, harassment protection, and the code of ethics, which are crucial to fostering a respectful and inclusive learning environment. The preferential payment system for training were explained, information on sports sections and circles, and a schedule for issuing educational literature were presented.
Dean Detochkina V.R. gave detailed explanation about the educational process and training of dentists. The provision of information on extracurricular activities, like sports sections and clubs, is a great way to encourage students to engage in a well-rounded university experience.
Head of the Department of Orthopedic and Pediatric Dentistry Eslyamgalieva A.M. in her welcoming speech gave words of encouragement, wished success and diligence in her studies.
Together with a representative of the Center for Planning and Development of Academic Activities, an excursion was conducted on the curriculum and logistics of educational buildings.
Senior students were invited to one of the meetings, who shared information about student associations, organization and implementation of startups, talked about their student life.
All meetings were held in the format of a dialogue, comprehensive answers were given to the questions of the participants.
On September 10, 2024, 1st year students met with representatives of the anti-corruption service, where important issues on combating corruption in educational institutions and beyond were discussed.
On September 13, 2024, the Astana city branch of the AMANAT party, together with representatives of the People's Headquarters, held a conversation for students and teaching staff of the University for the construction of nuclear power plants, noting the high importance of nuclear power plants for the socio-economic development of Kazakhstan.
