A vibrant cultural event – India Day – took place at Astana Medical University. The occasion aimed to acquaint students and faculty members with India’s rich culture and art. A lively program featuring musical and dance performances by talented students filled the evening with joy and inspiration.
Acting Chair of the Board – Rector Anar Turmukhambetova congratulated all participants on this festive occasion, while the most active international students received certificates in recognition of their contributions to university life.
“Mahatma Gandhi, the father of the Indian nation, once said, ‘Freedom is of no worth if it does not include the freedom to make mistakes.’ These words remind us that the path to independence and progress always involves challenges, growth, and perseverance.
Since gaining independence, India has achieved incredible success. Today, it is one of the world’s largest economies and a leader in IT, space exploration, medicine, and agriculture. Indian art, culture, music, and cinema continue to inspire and unite millions of people around the globe,” noted Acting Chair of the Board – Rector Anar Turmukhambetova.
The event served as an important step in strengthening cultural ties between India and Kazakhstan, as well as in fostering the university community. It promoted mutual understanding and friendship, reaffirming the university’s commitment to supporting and advancing intercultural exchange.
