On April 25, 2025, the International Scientific and Methodological Conference «Modern Educational Technologies in Medicine and Pharmacy: Challenges and Prospects» was held in Shymkent. The event was organized by the South Kazakhstan Medical Academy and the Educational and Methodological Association of the Republican Educational and Methodological Council in the field of training - Healthcare.
The event was held in a hybrid format: offline and online. The conference program included the following breakout sessions: «The role of general education disciplines in the formation of Soft Skills», «Digital educational environment and project-based learning», «The future of pharmaceutical education: integration of science, technology, and practice», «Integrated medical education: innovations and practical application», «Clinical training: from simulations to real practice».
Opening the conference, the Deputy Chairman of the Educational and methodological association in the direction of training Healthcare of the Republican educational and methodological council Imasheva Bagdat Sakenovna noted: «The development of innovation policy should become a priority in integrated medical education. The integration of science, technology and practice in education makes a huge contribution to strengthening the relationship between fundamental and clinical sciences».
The opening of the conference was attended by Doctor of Pharmaceutical Sciences, Professor of the Bashkir State University Natalya Vladimirovna Kudashkina, Doctor of Philosophy, Associate Professor of the Tashkent Pediatric Medical Institute Nurkhodjaev Sobir Nasirkhodjaevich.
Experts from St. Petersburg, Ufa, Bashkiria, Samarkand, and Tashkent took part in the conference together with scientists and teachers from medical universities in Kazakhstan.
Participants and guests noted the high level of organization and the rich program of the conference.
The event showed that active discussion of the challenges and prospects of educational technologies in medicine and pharmacy is necessary and gives the professional community the opportunity to find solutions facing modern medical and pharmaceutical education.
