On July 3–4, 2026, Astana will host the III International Congress of the Kazakhstan Society of Bariatric and Metabolic Surgeons (KaSBariMeT-2026) under the theme "Challenges and Trends in Metabolic and Bariatric Surgery". The event has been endorsed by the International Federation for the Surgery and Other Therapies for Obesity (IFSO), highlighting its high international standing.

The Congress will bring together leading specialists, scientists, and practicing physicians from around the world to discuss current issues in the prevention and treatment of obesity, type 2 diabetes, and metabolic disorders. Special focus will be given to the latest scientific advances, long-term outcomes of surgical treatment, and prospects for the introduction of innovative technologies, including the FundoRing technique.

Participants can look forward to presentations by internationally recognized experts from the USA, Europe, Japan, Israel, China, Russia, and other countries, the exchange of best practices, discussion of new clinical approaches, and the development of modern treatment standards.
