4th year students of 401-402 groups of the Faculty of Public Health and Management of the NJSC "Astana Medical University" studied at the Azerbaijan Medical University in Baku from 28.11.21 to 12.12.21 within the framework of academic mobility. The academic exchange took place on the topic "State Sanitary and Epidemiological Service".
On the first day, November 28, students got acquainted with the history of the university as a whole, its internal order and training system. During the acquaintance, the university, as an independent medical university, on May 9, 1930, began its work with two faculties: treatment-and-prophylactic and sanitary-hygienic. Today the university has 7 educational buildings, 6 faculties and 75 departments. Today about 9 thousand students study at the university. Students are taught in three languages: Azerbaijani, Russian and English.
Accordingly, the university accepts foreign students from 60 countries and shares its knowledge. In the course of training, we saw a sufficient staffing system of candidates of sciences, associate professors and professors within the university. In this regard, we visited a number of departments in a short time during the theoretical and practical lectures of the university. In particular, our students visited the departments of "Communal hygiene", "Food hygiene", "Department of hygiene and epidemiology" and "Hygiene of adolescents and children."
These departments fully shared their knowledge, thanks to which we were able to collect new information. The learning process is not limited to the university. As a practical training, the students visited the Republican Center for Hygiene and Epidemiology, where they got acquainted with the internal policy of work, the goals and objectives of the sanitary service, its functions and the structural system of the center.
According to the students, they got acquainted with the work of the special department of the Central Toxicological Reference Laboratory. In the department of hygiene of adolescents and children, they visited one of the secondary schools, the city for the purpose of a sanitary and hygienic examination of an elementary school. In this direction, they also visited experimental classes working under the program "Healthy Education - Healthy Nation". In general, by accumulating such theoretical and practical knowledge, students managed to accumulate knowledge. The students were especially impressed by the patriotic feelings of the younger generation at school.
In general, students devoted their time not only to education, but also to acquaintance with the culture, traditions, values and culture of the city of Azerbaijan, its way of life and unique historical places.
