The Ministry of Education and Science of the Republic of Kazakhstan announced the winners of the competition "BEST UNIVERSITY TEACHER-2020". Zhanna Sabitbekovna Mazhitova, Doctor of Historical Sciences, Professor of the Department of Social and Humanitarian Sciences, became the winner of the title "Best University Teacher" from our University.

In 2020, 623 applicants from 73 higher educational institutions of the republic, including our University, took part in the competition.  As a result of the competitive selection, 150 applicants were identified for the title of "Best University Teacher". This grant provides an opportunity for university teachers to take an internship abroad at leading universities in the world, to implement their scientific and educational projects.

The activity of teachers was evaluated according to the updated qualitative and quantitative indicators of the assessment of the applicants ' work, which took place in 2 stages: stage 1-Intra-university, stage 2-Republican.

The intra-university stage of the competition was held under the coordination of the Center for the Transfer of Educational and Distance Technologies, where in order to verify the work of applicants, an Expert Group was created from among the employees of the responsible structural divisions for assessing the quality of teaching and research activities of the applicant and the University Commission from among the teaching staff and trade union activists,  which, based on the conclusion of the expert group, made a decision to send the tender documentation of applicants for participation in the 2nd Republican stage of the Competition for the title of "Best University Teacher".

For the first time this year, to exclude subjectivity, the submission of applications for participation in the competition "Best University Teacher", the procedure for checking documents, as well as the appeal was carried out through the information system of the Ministry of Education and Science of the Republic of Kazakhstan in online mode. The received points of the applicants were published in the information system and allowed the contest applicants to get acquainted with the results online.
