The League of Academic Integrity was created in Kazakhstan several years ago and implies unification of higher educational institutions, which are distinguished by high quality of education.
The medical university of Astana during its long history has become a forge of quality personnel in the field of health care and annually graduates 1,500 specialists. It is included in the top 10 best universities of the country and by external assessment of the quality of education has a high rating of the demand both in Kazakhstan and far beyond its borders. More than a thousand international students come here every year.
Next year, the transformation of the university into a research university is envisioned, and the very fact of joining the Academic Integrity League demonstrates its readiness to improve the quality of education. The principles of transparent horizontal and collegial management and mechanisms for objective evaluation of learning outcomes will be introduced.
It is also planned to use an automated platform to detect illegal borrowing (plagiarism) in all written works of students and faculty.
